Back to Basics is a class I started teaching locally to new weavers.  This basket is also a great refresher for experienced weavers and just anyone who likes the basket!  I thought it would look nice with a potted plant in it.  Back to Basics starts by weaving a woven, filled base.  Techniques include setting up a filled base, twining, start/stop weaving and the use of overlays.  The accent colors are mahogany and tan.  The tan color may vary due to availability.  The color may be tan, caramel or golden brown.  They all look great with mahogany!  Pretty beads tied on with waxed cord adorn the front of the basket.
