The Buckeye Tote – Ohio

The “Buckeye Tote” starts with a slotted wood base. Techniques include twining, start/stop weaving, double lashing with three colors and the use of leather handles.  The accent colors are gray, black, charcoal and red. The embellishment on the “Buckeye Tote” was designed by Illinois artist Mikayla Murry.

This basket is one in a series of State Totes that started with Illinois – the Pride of the Prairie Tote.
